Ethics of life

“In the sphere of the ethics of life, the necessary norms, which support respect of the person, are not enough on their own to fully ensure man’s good. The virtue of one who works for the promotion of life is the ultimate guarantee that the good will really be respected.” — Pope Francis

Reflection: We have many rules and sets of principles for respecting people as being created in God’s image. Knowing them and living by them are two different things for some. Which do you refer to when making choices or understanding situations? Which do you offer to others as a way to promote life and the common good? How well do you follow these principles or norms in your own life?
